Ken Lau

For close to a decade, Ken has worked with Accelerators and Corporates in the Digital and Innovation transformation space. He aspires to support companies in their innovation journeys, particularly within the Industry 4.0 era and as 5G technologies emerge. His innovation training is grounded in Lean and Agile principles, as advocated by Eric Ries in The Lean Startup and The Startup Way. These principles provide guiding frameworks that promote rapid iteration through data-driven and customer-centric validation methodologies.

His experience began with the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC, now known as MRANTI) as an Acceleration Director and Mentor-In-Residence for their award-winning Global Accelerator Program (GAP). Subsequently, he has contributed to multiple accelerator programs, including work with 500 Global/Startups, PitchIN, Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), Selangor Accelerator Program (SAP), Digital Penang, Founder Institute, Endeavor, and many more. He has conducted Corporate Innovation Venture programs with Maybank, Fronterra, UBER and DiGi.

Ken possesses hands-on enablement experience as a startup founder with Adventoro Travel (2017–2021). He was selected as one of the top three finalists for the World Tourism Forum Lucerne in Switzerland, where he presented his work in the "Destination" category in 2019. He was also chosen as one of the top 50 invite-only entrepreneurs for the pioneer batch of the Alibaba Netpreneur School, attending an immersion trip to Alibaba HQ in Hangzhou, China. In 2019, and won the Mekong Innovative Startup for Tourism award in Vietnam in 2018.

Ken also served as Head of Growth for pitchIN during their fundraising period (2021–2022). Previously, he held senior marketing and commercial positions at MYSALE Group and ZALORA Malaysia, as well as a management consulting role with Accenture.
